Well, it’s been too long since my last post – I do apologize but RL caught up with me for a moment. However, I think I have successfully outran it again – I tied my laces up a little tighter this time so it shouldn’t catch up again for a while – i think it’s taking a rest at a Holiday Inn somewhere…

Well YoMma – what has been happening? I hear you murmur…I’ll tell you what’s been happening. The grand slew of Autumn/Fall games has grabbed me a little – Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, C&C: Red Alert 3 and the FANTASTIC Left 4 Dead have all taken up a slew of my time along with Multiplay’s i35 LAN Event in Coventry in which myself and my Team Packard Bell cohorts entered the Crysis Wars tournament and placed a nice and easy 3rd place, netting £400 in the process – nice. As well as that I had a brief inconvenient illness which clouted me accross the head without warning and of course the usual job hunting.

In EVE, I have made my first ventures into PvP and they have as yet proved unsuccessful. However, someday…someone will be feeling their ship disintegrate around them as a result of MY laser fire – you have been warned! I’ll keep trying anyway and see how it goes – it can’t hurt anything but my pride and ISK reserves…

Oh and myself and carebear extraordinaire – CrazyKinux recorded Episode 4 of MicroWarpCast last night so expect to see that within the next couple of days once CK adds the finishing touches!

So…onto the brief few “points” I was going to make:

Firstly, if you are interested in other games than EVE – then please check out Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead. Fallout 3 is an extremely replayable and engrossing sci-fi first person RPG which will keep you occupied for hours on end with it’s enjoyable quest lines and character development. Whether you are a complete and total mass murdering badass or an angel in human form, clipped of his/her wings – you will find something for you in this game.

Left 4 Dead is a whole different kettle of fish….and easily one of the best games I have ever had the privilege of playing. For fans of Zombie movies, co-operative gameplay or first person shooters then this is the game for you. I strongly advise everyone to get this game as I personally do not see how anyone can actually dislike it! 4 player co-op and I stress the co-op part there against hordes of infected zombies providing more panic moments than you can fit in 50 horror movies – A priceless addition to anyone’s game collection! Although I will say that it isn’t for the faint hearted (see here – WARNING: Image is not for the faint hearted…infact….if you’re faint hearted….go to the doctors immediately as you may be in trouble!)

Finally, EVE: Quantum Rising has been, for me, an enjoyable experience. The technical improvements are great, the weapon grouping is a breath of fresh air, the speed changes seem well balanced overall and make more physical sense to me and the new stargates are extremely well designed! All in all, in terms of my personal experience – thumbs up!

Anyways, it’s back on track with blog updates for the forseeable future so please – stay tuned! Also, I’ll likely try and put some good EVE and Left 4 Dead screenshots on my Flickr stream so if you are interested – check it out!
